SUMMARY:

Anyone sick of hearing the term, “must win?” I know I am. The Blackhawks enter tonight’s game seven points back of the eighth and final wild card spot, and ten points behind tonight’s opponent, the Dallas Stars. Riding a three-game losing streak, it will be important for the Blackhawks to get out to a fast start against a Stars team that has a lot of talent up front, especially at Center.

Dallas enters the United Center with a three-game win streak, with their most recent win coming against the New York Rangers on Monday night. They have a talented core led by Tyler Seguin and John Klingberg, both of which are all-stars this season.

As for the Blackhawks, there isn’t much to say. They continue to lack the consistency in their team game, and it seems as though it is going to cost them a playoff spot. I look forward to seeing what coach Joel Quenneville has in store as far as the lineup tonight; I would expect the line blender 3000 to be on full blast. Also, look for Anton Forsberg to get the nod in net as well.

We’ll recap tonight or tomorrow AM. Join the conversation below!

Did Toews just break the streak of goals only coming from the young guys?

John, do you think there’s anything to these rumors, Saad to Montreal?

John, do you think there’s anything to these rumors, Saad to Montreal?

I’ll tell you right now, if they give up on a 25 year old, 30 goal scorer after a small slump, they are more stupid than we thought they were.

I agree.  But first I’d want to know what the return from Montreal would be.

If Galchenyuk could play center as well as wing and do both well I think I would consider it. He has to have more hockey sense than Saad. But Gal seems a bit lazy and goes into a funk too often. Saad might need help to be an effective player but he is a force when slotted well. So I’ll take a pass.

No thanks on Galchenyuk. Saad is more useful.

If I’m trading Saad, I’d want a top 4D man.

Now we see why Q plays Glass.

    That was terrible.

I remember during the 2009-2010 season, Versteeg was talking about the lessons John Madden taught Byfuglien and himself.  The most important one being “Never give the puck away high in the offensive zone.”

Then Duncan Keith does exactly that with less than 10 seconds left in the period.

This season has been so perplexing.

On a side note, I’m really enjoying the stars game call. Some neat expressions I haven’t heard before, fair/not homerish. Observant.
