Only 10 games left of this miserable season, as the Blackhawks head back to the United Center after a 5-3 loss in Buffalo yesterday afternoon. The Hawks are 3-6 this month, and are showing clear signs that they are as ready for this season to be over as their fans.
However, their opponent tonight, the St. Louis Blues, are still fighting to stay in the playoff picture. Coming off an overtime win against the Rangers, the Blues are three points out of the final wild card spot, with one game in hand.
As disinterested as the Hawks have seemed the last few weeks, I hope to see a team rejuvenated by the long-time rivalry against the Blues, and I know every Blackhawks fan out there is rooting for the Hawks to spoil the Blues playoff hopes.
Plus, we all know what Spring hockey between the Blues and Blackhawks has meant over the years (Brent Seabrook hit on David Backes, St. Patrick’s Day Massacre, etc.)
We’ll recap tonight or tomorrow AM. Join the conversation below!
