March 22, 2018 at 12:05 pm #6239Hank_GreenbergParticipantIf he really has an “upper body injury,” why wouldn’t they just shut Toews down for the remaining meaningless games?
March 22, 2018 at 12:25 pm #6240Jeff OsbornKeymasterPersonally, I would, but this team is apparently under some disillusion that trying to play their goalie who has a brain injury is a good potential plan.
March 22, 2018 at 1:20 pm #6241ozzygod1ParticipantThis Hawks season… every bit as memorable and enchanting as the Dave Donato era of Black Sabbath.
March 22, 2018 at 1:22 pm #6242ozzygod1ParticipantStanley should put Berube on waivers and bring up Colin Delia to see if we can psychologically ruin him too before the season is out.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Not my guy! LOL
March 22, 2018 at 6:20 pm #6247Chico MakiParticipantThere’s no reason to bring Toews back. Even if he’s healthy in a week.
Actually, same with Kane. They both should sit the rest of the season. No reason to risk Kane breaking a bone now.
Bring up some more kids.

Unfortunately they don’t have the option of calling up more kids. They can only do that on an emergency basis like they have for Martinson and Hayden
March 22, 2018 at 6:53 pm #6249Chico MakiParticipantFine, play short a man. There’s no reason to risk a long term injury to Kane right now.
Plus, if Kane doesn’t play and you’re a man short, there’s a better chance of tanking to a better draft pick. Win/win.
March 22, 2018 at 7:02 pm #6250Alan ParsonsParticipantLTIR Toews. Package him with Hossa. Sell them to the the KHL. Profit.
March 22, 2018 at 7:49 pm #6251MewirtzParticipantNice stop Berube
March 22, 2018 at 8:12 pm #6252Chico MakiParticipantBig juicy rebound by Berube.
March 22, 2018 at 8:50 pm #6255Chico MakiParticipantYou cannot win in the NHL with AHL goaltending.
pathetic.
March 22, 2018 at 8:59 pm #6256MewirtzParticipantGreat news for Eddie. God is good
March 22, 2018 at 9:18 pm #6257Chico MakiParticipantI think science had a part.
March 23, 2018 at 6:01 am #6258ozzygod1ParticipantOn the heels of the recent Rutta and Gustafsson deals, it’s being reported that the Chicago Blackhawks have now resigned JF Berube to a 5-yr contract extension worth $12.5MM. Chicago General Manager Stanley Bowman on the signing – “We’ve been really happy with our play in the defensive zone this year, and that obviously starts with the goaltenders. JF has really done an excellent job this year since he’s been up. I’m really looking forward to continued success in the D-zone, and JF is really a big part of that future. I like our team.”
