Back in September, if anyone had said that Debrincat might possibly be leading this team in goals at the end of the season, I would have said it meant one of two things: either this team will be fucking TERRIBLE or they will have the Stanley Cup locked up. Id have taken the under, btw.
This isnt a good mix of players IF the top 4-5 guys are basically going to take a year off. Honestly, I have thought the window has been closed for a couple of seasons, they havent passed the eye test at all, but I didnt think the fall off would be so incredibly fast. I mean, they went from top team in the west to the dumpster behind an Arby’s in a hot minute.

[/quote] I’ve said it several times now. How could Bowman not have a decent backup knowing Crawford’s history going into this season. Not to mention how he completely cratered the defense by moving Hammer and letting TVR go in the expansion draft. Nice to see Raanta have a good game – what did Bowman get for him in another bad move – I don’t think the guy is even playing now.

Bouma would be good just on another team. He really brings nothing other than getting a ice time away from someone who actually deserves it.
February 13, 2018 at 7:43 am #4894Alan ParsonsParticipantMurphy isnt a problem and TVR ABSOLUTELY SUCKED and he is still sucking for Carolina. The problem is playing Seabrook 23 minutes, Keith is in serious decline, Forsling regressed, Kempny is benched for unknown reasons, Oesterle is back to being Oesterle, Rutta is concussed. There is a better overall level of talent on the D this year, but the combinations and usage have been bad.
Hammer is done. TVR blows. We werent getting 2013 Hammer back ever again. I love the guy, but it was a good trade.
February 13, 2018 at 8:00 am #4895Alan ParsonsParticipantI loved Hammer. But his possession numbers on the Hawks were always crap. Yes, he got more D zone draws as his career progressed, but I will argue that the issue was that he was on his off hand side playing on the right as a left hand shot and his clearing attempts didnt get out of the zone enough. He did block shots. But honestly, id rather have the puck than hoping my D sell out for the team and get in the way of big shots. Hammer was a hero. But his time is done. We need to move on. Murphy has been very good. He is big, physical, skates well enough, and as long as he is on the right side, he is fine. He has made mistakes, sure, but he is still 24. Id rather have Murphy for the his 25-28 year old seasons than Hammer for his 31-34 year old seasons.
February 13, 2018 at 9:49 am #4902Alan ParsonsParticipantAnd how low do we have to stoop when Hawks fans are semi-excited about the idea of having a fucking Tchakuk family member on their team? Fuck those bastards. Id rather watch golf.
February 13, 2018 at 10:54 am #4906Matthew PaulishParticipantMan, this sucks.

Blown the f out by Arizona. Lol its fun bad now.
