First post here. Thought I’d jump in and I hope all my fellow Hawks board peoples jump in too.

Not a good start to the season, it seems that the team just doesn’t understand their assignments, they’re gonna have to get this going soon. JC will lose the room quickly!!!
I’ve followed you over T, let’s see if others follow. Might be the team is fitting in a lot of new guys, hasn’t settled on a lineup and is juggling the lines and pairings too much trying to find chemistry to kickstart players who should know better.

Was hiring Crawford a good idea? Is he a head coach in waiting like Q was behind Savard and the players know it? Trouble with these first games was they were totally winnable against other flawed teams. Now the hot Oilers come in next.

I am following the herd over here.  Hopefully it will soon be a stampede from the Hawks’ mbs.

de Haan looked good in his 1st game and the game tying goal was Toews’ man and that’s why man to man isn’t good, normally de Haan would just cover the net if his D partner is chasing someone behind the net.

They had some sustained pressure in the offensive zone and some defensive shifts where they played great as a unit but they need to play a full 60mins.

This year’s team is still having the same problems that last year’s team suffered from….poor team defense. Poor penalty kill.  Poor forechecking.

The line combinations are chnaged, seemingly, every period.  No continuity.
Chico, long long time since we’ve had a chat, hope all is well. I agree. Maybe it’s just too much too late? I still feel Stan has held office for a few years too long. I think we’re hearing his swan song as I type!!!

Edmonton tonight…if the losses and poor play continues, will Bowman and JC be gone by Christmas?

IMO, Bowman should have been gone a long time ago and JC doesnt have the experience needed to be an NHL head coach.  At least not yet.

Bowman should be gone long before Christmas.  Best to overhaul coahing and management now rather than midway through the season.  Coaching change in midseason last year didn’t work out very well.
I believe you’re right with MCrawford. He’d love to have a shot at this, and probably one of the reasons he agreed to come here. I think Stan had way too much turnover and I’m not sure he lasts to see them turn around. As of now, I don’t see the core guys going 100%, and the team just looks confused. I think JC is the worst possible successor to Q. I don’t hate the guy or anything like that, but it’s just not his time. Clock is ticking on Stan and JC!!!
