Guess it was the last week I posted somewhere here that Slavin would be an add similar to the Steel adding Jack Badini in season the yr they won the cup.   A 2 way player who’s contribution goes way beyond the scoresheet.  Great add for any team, glad the kid is a Steel now.   But don’t go to sleep on Carrick.   Can’t have enough Dmen especially in the playoffs.  Big kid, so is Slavin, that will help knock around some Jacks when they decide to get jiggy wit it.  Wouldn’t mind seeing a 13th forward to deal with and take Joshua off the ice for 15-20 minutes a game ………….

Carrick makes me wonder if CSS 2nd rd ranked Dman Jacckson LaCombe will be back after chasing HS dreams and if Dman Ruikka is more injured than I feared after going feet first into the end boards at speed v the 17’s last month never to be seen since.

Pietroniro-Spetz-Staum-Power-Reid-Dowd-Vasanen-Carrick-Ruikka-LaCombe.   No doubt a glut but a nice problem to have.

Told anyone who would listen the Steel will trade the future X10 to win this yr while the owners’ boys are the #1 goalie and 2C with tons of PP time.  Buckle up Steel fans doubt their done, at least as long as they have more future to trade.
