JJ, great to see a post from you! Please post more, still missing the HB days.
I don’t understand why/how CBJ got an extra good player in this swap when Laine was the more proven player (stats wise). PLD actually hasn’t proven himself yet as a top star. Maybe contract situations played big factor.
Anyway, big win for CBJ at this point but time will of course tell. They will both want out of these small markets again and then it will be about that return. LOL
Neek, Columbus also sends a 3rd rd pick (for Roslovic). ……… Interesting to see how Torts deals with Laine’s disdain for his own zone 50 games in…
WPG has plenty of scoring and scored a first rate 2C that they’ve looked for since allowing Stastny to leave for LVG, he’s since returned and even a less effective an older Stastny as a 3C and Lowry as the 4C gives the Jets elite centerman thru L4.
Looks like a good old fashion hockey trade, need for need.
