Abruzzese Named USHL Forward of the Week

Chicago Steel forward Nick Abruzzese has been named the USHL Forward of the Week for this past week (Feb 4-10). This is the second time Abruzzese has received the award.

The Harvard University commit leads all USHL scorers this season with 54 points (18 goals, 36 assists) and finished this past weekend with 5 points (2 goals, 3 assists) while on the road at Sioux Falls and Sioux City.

“This weekend was a great opportunity for Nick to measure his game against some of the biggest names in the USHL as far as the 2019 NHL Draft is concerned,” said General Manager Ryan Hardy. “His development trajectory this season has been tremendous and he has established himself as arguably the best player in the league with his play.”

Overall, this weekly award is the fourth time this season a Chicago Steel player has been named a “Player of the Week.” Including Aburzzese’s two honors, defenseman Matteo Pietroniro and goaltender Reilly Herbst have also been named at their respective positions.
