Blackhawks Recall Collin Delia, Re-Assign Berube

  

This morning the Blackhawks announced that they had recalled goaltender Collin Delia from Rockford, while re-assigning Jean-Francois Berube to Rockford.

He started this season in Indianapolis but was shuttled to Rockford during the week.  Once Corey Crawford and Berube were hurt, in December, Delia was called up to play full-time in Rockford and never returned to Indy.

Early in March, the 23 year old former Merrimack College rookie goaltender was named the AHL player of the week after a 2-0 record, 0.50 GAA, and a shutout for the Icehogs.

Delia has been a well documented favorite of mine for two years and was rewarded with a two year deal last summer, following a great week at prospect camp.  Join me in welcoming #HostileLegendCollinDelia to the NHL.

In other news, JF Berube was sent down for the Icehogs playoff push.
