Blackhawks recall Hagel, shut down Shaw and Smith

The Blackhawks made a few mid-level roster moves prior to tonight’s game in Sunrise, FL against the Panthers and former Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville.

Blackhawks team physician Dr. Michael Terry announced that forwards Andrew Shaw and Zack Smith will miss the remainder of the season. Shaw has been out because of concussion protocol and Smith, who had been out of the lineup with a lacerated hand, will also undergo back surgery on March 6, 2020.
