Chicago Steel release 2019–20 regular season schedule

  

The Chicago Steel and the United States Hockey league released their 2019–20 regular season schedule today. The USHL Fall Classic will take place Sept. 26–29 in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The Fall Classic allows all NHL teams the ability to scout USHL talent, as each team will play in two regular season games at the event.

Chicago will open at home on Oct. 5 when the Green Bay Gamblers come to the Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva, Illinois. The Steel’s first official road game will be the following Friday, Oct. 11, when the team travels to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to take on the Gamblers.

In the first annual outdoor Frosty Cup, hosted by the Dallas Stars, the Chicago Steel will square off against the Green Bay Gamblers in the historical Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The teams will matchup on Jan. 2 as well before playing the outdoor game on Jan. 3.

The USHL will be comprised of an Eastern and Western Conference with eight teams in each conference. This is one less than last season, as the Central Illinois Flying Aces disbanded after last season.

The 62-game schedule features 29 homes games for Steel fans to come on out and cheer on their 2019 Clark Cup runner-up team.
