Indy Fuel sign defenseman Connor McDonald

  

The Indy Fuel have announced that Connor McDonald has signed a standard player contract (SPC) with the Chicago Blackhawks and Rockford Icehogs affiliate.

The 6’1″, 181 lbs defenseman from Westerville, Ohio finished his college career after appearing in 161 games recording seven goals, 25 assists, and a plus 40 +/- rating.  In his senior season, he tallied one goal, seven assists, and a plus 17 +/- rating. Upon finishing his college career,  McDonald signed an amateur tryout contract (ATO) with the Ontario Reign, but appeared in no games for the team.

Prior to playing to his college career, McDonald played in the United States Hockey League (USHL) for 114 games between the Youngstown Phantoms and the Chicago Steel.

The Fuel will return to action on Friday, January 10th  and Saturday, January 11th  against the Toledo Walleye on the road before returning home for a three-game homestand.
