SUMMARY:

The Blackhawks try to stop their 5 game losing streak against a team that used to be a “gimme” win. Times have changed, and the Blackhawks have no “gimme” wins. They are sinking quickly, and seem to have no direction. As it stands today, the Blackhawks have a better chance of winning the NHL Draft Lottery (5.4% according to Tankathon) than they do of making the playoffs (2.5% according to Sports Club Stats)

The Coyotes boast some high end young talent, but have not been able to turn that raw talent into success on the ice. They head into this game with a paltry 1-3-1 record in the month of February, which includes a 4-3 OT win over the same Minnesota Wild that the Blackhawks were shutout by Saturday night.

The Blackhawks go back to Anton Forsberg in net, after the “Jeff Glass Experience” once again failed to yield success.

Let’s go Yotes!  Dahlin or Tzchuk would turn this franchise around.  Without the addition of a new Top Line Center or Top Pair Dman, this team will be stuck in mediocrity for the next handful of years. LTIR Crawford for the season and keep playing Forsberg/Glass who both suck.

Dahlin or Tzchuk.  Tzchuk brings the nasty with high end skill.  Can you imagine a power center like that playing with Kane?? Dahlin I’m very excited to watch at the Olympics.  I haven’t seen him play but everything I’ve read says he is an NHL ready 200ft 25 minute/game Dman. IF the Hawks end up getting a Top 5 pick in the Lottery, does Bowman have the stones/savvy to move up and grab one of these guys???

I have ZERO  confidence in Stan Bowman.  He’d get the TOP pick and trade down to draft another smurf.

That would be awesome until Q forced him to play on his off side and then scratched him

[/quote] Since the team is worthless let’s talk about commentators. Foley’s OK,  but stale,  Konroyd’s boring as Hell and is either too nice or insecure to be honest, never thought I’d miss Eddie Olczyk and I pray for his health –Would love to see Jeremy Roenick as Color man. Jamal Mayers is a Hawks kissass and Brian Campbell has NO communication skills. Adam Burish has got some promise. If Mcdonough is going to shake thing up  lets also get rid of  Chelsea Dagger and that annoying WGN-Comcast Hawks bumper music. Gonna be awhile till the team is entertaining, might as well make the show better.

These guys are hard to watch.  Anyone who believes they’re a “tweak” away, adding one or two players and back to Cup contention, they’re dreaming.

This is a bad defensive team.

Defensively, this is a bad team.  It doesn’t help the goaltending SUCKS.  And that’s 100% on Bowman, for not having a legit NHL backup goalie.

I would rather watch the kids play than the “core” mail it in.  If there are veterans nursing injuries, shut them down.  What’s the point?  This team has completely shut out Q.  I’m thankful for 3 cups and 10 years of Hawk hockey like I never thought I’d see, but this team is in complete disarray.  Does anyone see this being better next year? 2 years from now?
