If they drafted Byram and were going to try to sell Boqvist to another team, what would the package be to get a guy like Alex Tuch out of Vegas? He’s now been knocked down to 3rd line RW with the trade for Mark Stone. He’s 23 and under contract for 6 years at for 4.75 and would look great at 2nd line RW with Strome and Cat. With Vegas needing to cut a little salary with the Stone extension, would Boqvist, Kahun, plus get something like that done?

    Just have 1 comment and 1 question…

    1) Q is a legend and my favorite ever Chicago head-honcho (tied with Ozzie), but moving on from him was exactly what was needed. The core guys found some renewed motivation, the young players fed off of the confidence of a younger head coach, Bowman made a couple of the shrewdest moves of his tenure, and honestly the beat writers have been more challenging of upper management and honest about the way things have been going. Lovin’ it.

    2) Is Podkolzin in another tier from the Turcotte/Cozens/Dach tier? Not sure if you have the answer, but this #3 pick seems sort of sketchy just because Podkolzin is a wild card, and Turcotte, Cozens and Dach all have different things to offer. And this doesn’t include guys like Byram or Zegras who just muddy the waters that much more.

From what I can tell about Vegas, they are kinda of wedded to Tuch and I would think they’re keeping him for the long haul. But like you said now that Stone is in the picture, maybe they don’t see him as being as valuable as they did a year ago and might make him a trade candidate to fill other needs. Even so, my guess is he isn’t going anywhere.

I guess it’s premature to think they’ll set Boqvist specifically, but they WILL sell potentially one of 2 of those prospects like Ian Mitchell or Beaudin
