Chase Bradley — Signed a two-year, entry-level contract on July 1, 2024.

Jayson Megna — Signed a two-year, one-way AHL contract on July 9, 2024 through the 2025–26 season. 

Matthew Phillips — Signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Avalanche worth $775,000 at the NHL level on August 9, 1024.

— Oskar Olausson — Second year of three-year, entry-level contract started in 2022-23.

— Nikolai Kovalenko —  Second year of two-year, entry-level contract started in 2023-24.

Henry Bowlby — contract mutually terminated to join Rögle BK of the SHL on November 9, 2023.

Ben Meyers Traded to the Anaheim Ducks on March 8, 2024.

Brett Stapley — Has agreed to a contract with HK Dukla Trenčín of the Slovak Extraliga on May 29, 2024.

Brandon Cutler — Has signed a contract with EC Kassel Huskies of the DEL2 in Germany on June 17, 2024

Maros Jedlicka —  Had signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Colorado Eagles on April 18, 2024 and did not play any games while in Loveland. Jedlika chose to return to his junior organization on June 18, 2024 and play for HC Kometa Brno of the Tipsport Extraliga in Czechia.

D.J. Busdeker — Signed a contract with the Augsburg Panthers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) in Germany on June 26, 2024

Alex Beaucage —  He was not given a qualified offer by the Colorado Avalanche. Beaucage signed a one-year, one-way AHL contract with the Laval Rocket (MTL) on July 9, 2024

— Riley Tufte —  Signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Boston Bruins organization on July 1, 2024.

Spencer Smallman — Signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Washington Capitals on July 2, 2024.

Cédric Paré — Signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on July 2, 2024

— Cal Burke — Signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Vegas Golden Knights on July 2, 2024.

Tanner Kero — Signed a one-year contract with HV71 of the SHL in Sweden on July 5, 2024

— Fredrik Olofsson — signed a two-year contract with EV Zug of the National League in Switzerland on July 8, 2024.

Ryan Sandelin — Signed a one-year, two-way AHL contract with the Iowa Wild (MIN) on July 11, 2024.

— Jacob MacDonald — Returns to the organization on a two-year, two-way contract signed on July 1, 2024

— Calle Rosen — Returns to the organization for one-year, two-way contract that was signed on July 1, 2024.

Garrett Pyke — Completed an amateur try-out agreement and will start a two-year AHL contract through 2025-26.

Sean Behrens — Completed an amateur try-out agreement and will start a three-year entry-level contract in 2024-25.

— Keaton Middleton — Final year of a two-year, two-way contract signed on February 25, 2023.

Jack Ahcan — Final year of a two-year, two-way contract signed on July 1, 2023.

— Sam Malinski — Final year of a two-year, two-way contract signed on March 30, 2023.

— Saige Weinstein — Will start a three-year entry-level contract that was signed on October 6, 2023.

Wyatt Aamodt — Avoided arbitration by signing a one-year, two-way contract with the Avalanche on July 2, 2024

Free Agents- Defensemen

Michael Underwood Will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.

Departures – Defenseman

Graham Sward— Had signed an amateur tryout agreement on April 16, 2024. The Avalanche lost rights to Sward on June 1st because he was not signed to an entry-level contract. Sward is now considered a free agent and able to sign with any team he chooses to.

Josh Wesley —  Signed with HC Pustertal of the ICEHL in Italy on June 25, 2024.

Gianni Fairbrother — He was not given a qualified offer by the Colorado Avalanche and hit the free market on July 1st. He signed a one-year contract with the Utah Grizzlies on September 3, 2024.  

Nate Clurman — Signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization on July 1, 2024

Corey Schueneman — Signed a one-year, two-way contract with the St. Louis Blues on July 2, 2024.

Kyle Mayhew — Signed a one-year contract with the Fort Wayne Komets (EDM) of the ECHL on July 16, 2024.

Brad Hunt —  Signed a one-year AHL contract with the Hershey Bears (WSH) on August 2, 2024

Goaltenders

Trent Miner — Signed a one-year, two-way contract for the year 2024-25 on May 21, 2024.

Jake Barczewski — Completed an amateur try-out agreement and will start a one-year AHL contract through 2024-25.

Additions – Goaltenders

Kevin Mandolese — The Avalanche acquired his RFA rights on July 15, 2024. He officially signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Avalanche on July 16, 2024.

Adam Scheel —  Signed a one-year AHL contract on July 30, 2024.

Departures – Goaltenders

Arvid Holm — Has signed a three-year contract with Rögle BK of the SHL in Europe as of May 10, 2024. He was previously a Group 6 unrestricted free agent.

Garrett Metcalf forced into retirement due to health concerns after signing a one-year AHL contract on July 26, 2023.

— Ivan Prosvetov — Signed a three-year contract with CSKA of the KHL on August 1, 2024

Additions – Coaching Staff

Dan Hinote — Joins the Avalanche organization again as an Associate Head Coach, taking Steve Konowalchuk’s place, on July 17, 2024

Matt Zaba — Joins the organization as the new goaltending coach to replace Peter Budaj on August 7, 2024.

Kim Weiss — After serving as a guest coach throughout the season and Development Camp, the organization has hired her to replace Hunter Diehl on August 7, 2024.

Departures – Coaching Staff

— Steve Konowalchuk — Associate head coach of the Eagles has been hired as head coach of the Springfield Thunderbirds (STL) as of May 20, 2024

Peter Budaj — the goaltending coach left for an opportunity to join coach Greg Cronin in Anaheim with the Ducks on July 10, 2024

Hunter Diehl — Has left the Eagles after accepting a new role as Director of Hockey Operations at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst on July 22, 2024.
